Who is Christina, Anyway?
Christina Mathieson is a results-oriented business strategist and lifelong entrepreneur who proudly encourages those around her to dream big and motivated by an unwavering social responsibility. Christina is a Realtor who utilizes her business expertise in the marketing and pricing of residential real estate with a specialty in high-performing and solar-powered homes, She is proud to be a part of the team of educators at Leap EDU and to continue to develop the Green EDU programs for real estate professionals as well as community education programs as part of a newly-launched partnership with Hofstra university. Christina’s “Becoming A Solar Specialist” program is the first of its kind to educate on residential solar power and energy efficiency and how these upgrades affect a real estate transaction.
Several years ago Christina set out to accomplish several things:
First, to be able to demonstrate value to appraisers for solar-powered homes where the homeowner was also the owner of the solar panels.
Second, to be able to demonstrate value to prospective buyers of solar-powered homes when the sellers had already signed on for a solar lease or power purchase agreement. When prospective buyers and their agents aren't provided simple, accurate third party information, third-party owned solar can make them uncomfortable.
Third, to be able to share ways whereby homeowners and home buyers looking to go solar can include that solar directly into their mortgage. Often times, homeowners are eligible for considerable tax credits they can receive within eighteen months. (That eligibility something only their finance professional / CPA can confirm.)
We're there and she can!
